Job Description

R&D Engineering Technician For the Thinker Who Builds. The Builder Who Questions. Do you look at a machine and wonder how it could work better ? This Is Not a "Follow-the-Checklist" Job We're looking for an R&D Engineering Technician who thrives in creative problem-solving, enjoys experimenting, and isn't afraid to challenge assumptions. You'll work alongside engineering, production, and sales to help design, test, and refine custom, innovative solutions that actually get used in the real world. This role is perfect for someone who wants to grow—technically, professionally, and creatively. What You'll Get to Do Build and test prototypes, fixtures, and custom solutions Design and assemble electrical control systems using motors, relays, PLCs, drives, sensors, power supplies, and more Use CAD software and 3D printing to turn ideas into tangible results Read, modify, and improve mechanical drawings and electrical schematics Collaborate with engineers, manufacturing, sales, and even customers to solve real problems Support new product development , lean initiatives, and continuous improvement Occasionally travel to customer or supplier sites for hands-on technical support What We're Looking For You don't need to know everything—but you must want to learn everything . EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
High school diploma or higher education. Associates degree or equivalent preferred. Must have electrical and mechanical aptitude Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing with internal and external personnel. Ability to operate miscellaneous hand tools Ability to utilize standard measuring equipment (ruler, calipers, micrometer, etc.) Ability to use CAD software design capabilities plus Ability to take direction and complete projects without significant oversight Familiarity with Syteline (ERP) system a plus Knowledge of metal, plastic and rubber products a plus.
