Job Description

Senior Motion Planning & Control Engineer Imagry • San Jose, CA • On-Site Join Imagry at the forefront of autonomous driving. As a Senior Motion Planning & Control Engineer, you'll architect the algorithms that determine how our vehicles perceive, reason about, and navigate the real world — directly shaping the safety and intelligence of our autonomous systems. What You'll Do Design and implement advanced guidance and control algorithms for autonomous driving systems Build, run, and analyze system-level tests to validate algorithm performance across complex, real-world scenarios Optimize control algorithms for real-time execution on embedded platforms Translate intricate traffic situations into safe, efficient vehicle behavior Keep pace with the latest research in autonomous vehicle motion planning and control Collaborate actively through technical discussions, code reviews, and team brainstorming Requirements A degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Aeronautical Engineering, or a related field, with a strong foundation in control theory Deep, hands-on experience with motion planning and control algorithms for autonomous systems Proficiency with complex electromechanical drive systems, dynamic systems, and control theory Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or MATLAB Bonus Points Mathematical fluency in probabilistic reasoning, optimization, and linear algebra Understanding of vehicle dynamics and experience with inertial navigation systems Familiarity with real-time systems and optimization techniques Knowledge of sensor fusion and localization algorithms Experience with state estimation and filtering methods such as Kalman or particle filters
