Job Description

Oxipital AI is on a mission to revolutionize the manufacturing industry with its cutting-edge AI-enabled machine vision solutions. As a fast-growing company striving to make a difference every day, we are seeking a collaborative Mechatronics Engineer to join the team. The Mechatronics Engineer will work cross-functionally with the Product Development and Commercial teams to develop and execute customer requirements. To succeed in this role, you will have some experience in electromechanical component sourcing, sensor integration and controls cabinet design. You'll play a crucial part in translating customer needs to technical deliverables. This role will also include domestic travel up to 35%. Responsibilities:
Own end-to-end controls projects: design, build, program, document, and transfer to operations Collaborate with Software, Solutions, and Hardware teams to solve technical problems and develop new capabilities Work with Operations on Manufacturing Transfer of new HW into the production environment, including assisting with First Article Fabrications, Test Fixtures, QA requirements and testing, and assembly documentation Specify and integrate Industrial Automation Components into Oxipital AI Systems Design, build, and test prototypes for design confirmation/performance verification Work cross functionally to ensure Oxipital AI Vision Solutions work with the Customer Automation Systems they are integrated with Collaborate with Commercial team on custom advanced engineering solutions projects Perform field installations of Oxipital AI equipment Provide remote and onsite technical support of controls and robot integration projects Ability to perform In-Field automation line audits and assessments and provide other Advanced Engineering Services in support of corporate initiatives and Commercial projects
Requirements:
BS in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or Controls Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in a related role Ability to travel domestically up to 35%, including weekends as needed Knowledge of control cabinet design, build, manufacture, and component sourcing Ability to create and debug electrical schematics for industrial control systems

& Schematic Prior experience with sensor integration and industrial networking Brownfield integration experience integrating with existing customer equipment and requirements Experience with functional safety systems for industrial controls Hands on experience designing and fabricating parts for prototype builds Experience using lab tools for dimensional confirmation and mechanical, electrical, and thermal testing Experience working in a Revision Controlled environment, utilizing
