Job Description

Controls Engineer Our Devens, MA manufacturing client is seeking a Controls Engineer for their team. This is a contract position working Friday through Monday. Responsibilities of the Controls Engineer Develop, integrate, test, commission, and support automation and control hardware and software for industrial-scale metal additive manufacturing (AM) machines and support equipment Troubleshoot new equipment and its integration into the production environment Develop and optimize the AM production ecosystem's machine data transfer and collection systems Collaborate with cross-disciplinary team members to maximize systems' efficiency and reliability Qualifications of the Controls Engineer Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, or relevant field with 7+ years of relevant work experience, or Master's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, robotics, or relevant field with 1+ years of relevant work experience Demonstrated experience with the design, development, commissioning, and troubleshooting of both hardware and software associated with control systems for various industrial manufacturing equipment and processes Experience with various modern industrial control systems (single and multi-axis coordinated motion control, safety systems, HMI, data collection, process monitoring, industrial networks and communications using various protocols, etc.) Experience with automation platforms such as B&R (preferred), Beckhoff, or others Demonstrated ability to program in at least three
IEC 61131-3
