Job Description

This is a foundational Simulation Engineer role where you'll own customer system onboarding end-to-end and build high-fidelity sensor models. $180-230k base with competitive equity, full relocation assistance, and sponsorship available for the right candidate. We are looking for a Simulation Engineer to join our founding team. We are seeking a high-agency builder who is excited by the 0 to 1 grind of an early-stage, intense startup environment. This person will take ambiguous, real-world systems and turn them into validated simulations that customers can trust. This role is critical to our growth as it will directly enable us to onboard new customers and expand our platform's capabilities. What will you be doing? Own the end-to-end process of onboarding customer systems, translating their physical robots, sensors, and environments into our simulation platform. Build and calibrate high-fidelity simulation models for various sensing modalities like cameras, lidar, and radar, from first principles. Work hands-on and on-site with customers to tune and calibrate simulations, taking them from 80% to near 100% accuracy. Define and execute test plans to quantitatively validate simulation fidelity against real-world data. Build internal tooling and automation in Python to make calibration, testing, and onboarding repeatable and scalable. Qualifications 2
  • ​ 8 years of experience in robotics or hardware simulation (academic or professional) Work experience Hands

  • to•end experience building and calibrating hardware simulations (sensors,​ cameras,​ lidars,​ radars,​ etc.
​) Experience with Nvidia Isaac Sim/Lab required:​ Primary simulator in use;​ other simulators (Mujoco,​ Gazebo) acceptable as ramp
  • up path Experience with non
  • visible sensing systems (infrared/thermal,​ UV,​ radar,​ lidar) Education Bachelor's in Mechanical,​ Robotics,​ Electrical,​ or Mechatronics (or similar);​ high 3.
​7-4.​0 GPA preferred Master's or PhD preferred but can be substituted for strong professional experience Hard skills Strong Python skills for data analysis,​ testing,​ automation,​ and tooling Depth over breadth:​ Must demonstrate deep ownership of at least one sensor/system simulation end
