Job Description

Systems Engineer responsible for translating stakeholder needs into system and subsystem requirements, supporting mechatronic product development, and maintaining requirements traceability through verification and validation. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 0-2 years of experience in requirements elicitation, systems engineering, or related engineering activities. Familiarity with the product development lifecycle for complex systems. Experience or academic exposure to system and subsystem requirements development. Experience with requirements management tools such as IBM DOORS, Jama Connect, Polarion, or similar platforms. Foundational knowledge of hardware development and engineering design principles. Basic understanding of Agile or Scrum methodologies. Preferred Skills Exposure to autonomous systems or robotics. Experience with interface control documentation. Experience developing functional and non-functional requirements. Experience with requirements traceability. Experience supporting verification and acceptance test development. Familiarity with safety analysis methods such as HARA, STPA, and FMEA. Experience supporting risk management activities. Job Responsibilities Gather and process stakeholder goals, requirements, and key performance indicators. Translate product goals into system and subsystem requirements. Develop and maintain interface control documents for subsystem interactions. Define functional and non-functional requirements in subsystem specifications. Support conceptual system design and technical documentation. Analyze the impact of changes to stakeholder and system requirements. Support system and subsystem safety analysis and risk mitigation activities. Participate in design reviews and maintain requirements traceability. Develop verification and acceptance test cases based on system requirements. Review test plans and procedures for alignment with applicable requirements. Support workflow optimization and engineering risk management activities. Provide systems engineering input for proposals and technical customer meetings. Coordinate requirements across product management, system architecture, mechanical, electrical, and software engineering disciplines.
