Project Engineer Solid Rock Structural Solutions Newport Beach, CA Job Details 2 hours ago Benefits Profit sharing Qualifications Customer communication Fundamentals of Engineering Engineer in Training Bachelor's degree RISA-3D Bachelor's degree in civil engineering Local building codes ETABS Cross-functional communication Full Job Description Job Description Coordinate internally with engineers/drafters and the broader design team/consultants in the pursuit of successful projects Attend meetings with Clients and design team members and represent as the point of contact Responsible for performing specific tasks as a part of a broader design effort Assist and/or lead in the design of buildings varying in size, uses, and complexity Overall responsibility for management of specific projects Leverage experience to provide guidance and mentor junior team members Work under the guidance of senior team members Also function as Design Engineer on projects based on need Prepare construction drawings and the development of structural systems with a variety of materials Prepare calculations to justify structural designs Perform construction administration tasks, coordinate with construction professionals, perform site visits, review shop drawings, and answer RFI's Perform feasibility studies and conditions assessments Establish project fees and track costs to maintain budgets and profitability Track project schedules to meet design team commitments and exceed Client expectations Review and provide quality assurance and control of deliverables Draft proposals and review contracts Minimum Qualifications 2-5 years of work experience in building structural engineering B.S. degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis/specialization in Structural Engineering F.E. Certification P.E. license in California (Preferred) Relevant experience in project use types: healthcare, commercial, retail, industrial, civic, seismic retrofit, and/or residential Relevant experience in materiality: steel, concrete, masonry, wood, and/or metal studs (in seismically active areas) Competency in structural engineering design software:
