Project Environmental Engineer/Geologist (Las Vegas, NV) [PEEG-LV]
Job Description:
Ninyo & Moore, a SOCOTEC Company has an immediate opening for a Project Environmental Engineer/Geologist to join our environmental branch in Las Vegas, Nevada. We are currently seeking a professional to manage due diligence - Phase 1, Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, groundwater sampling, field oversight and asbestos/lead paint surveys. Reporting to senior management, the successful candidate will: independently manage projects and will serve as project manager helping to train and mentor junior level staff. assist in the collection and analysis of data from sampling, reports, maps, drawings, tests, and aerial photographs to evaluate, plan, and permit projects. assist with development of proposals. attend on-and off-site client meetings, effectively communicating with clients and regulators. provide technical guidance and/or oversee work performed by lower-level staff. implement technical requirements to complete client projects by directing and supervising field staff to sample, test, and collect data. evaluate laboratory and field data and assemble in written reports.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in technical field such as environmental or civil engineering or geology is preferred. Current 40Hour
OSHA HAZWOPER
is required.
Required Skills:
The successful candidate will be a Nevada Certified Environmental Manager with 5+ years of experience in the environmental field with a thorough understanding of local, state, and federal environmental regulations. Familiarity with Nevada regulatory programs is a plus. Professional certifications for California, Utah, and/or Arizona is a plus. Must be a self-starter, able to work independently, and be a team player with strong communication skills and work ethic.
