  • and long-term mine plans, including pit shell designs, stripping plans, waste development plans, and reclamation plans Prepare geological models and perform resource and reserve estimations Develop life-of-mine plans with phased development schedules, milestones, and cost inputs Provide design parameters and volume calculations to support capital and acquisition projects Collaborate with regional management, geologists, project managers, and engineers to evaluate mineral quantity and quality Ensure mine plans align with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and company objectives What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering, Geological Engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 3 years of mine planning or mining engineering experience Operational experience in mine or plant environments preferred, with the ability to apply planning concepts to real‑world operations Professional Engineer (PE) registration or ability to obtain within two years Proficiency with mine planning and design software (e.
g., Carlson/AutoCAD, ArcGIS, Surpac) and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel for calculations, volume analysis, and data visualization Strong analytical, problem‑solving, project management, communication, and collaboration skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly Working knowledge of mining regulations and safety standards Work Environment Primarily based in a corporate office setting with periodic travel to operating sites Flexible hybrid work schedule Site visits may involve exposure to moving equipment, uneven terrain, dust, noise, and varying weather conditions Up to 20% travel within the United States What We Offer 401(k) retirement savings plan with an automatic company contribution as well as matching contributions.
