Working Location:
Cypress, CA We are seeking a detail-oriented Inspection Technician to support dimensional and visual inspection activities across production and development operations. This role is responsible for ensuring components and assemblies meet engineering specifications, quality standards, and customer requirements through the use of advanced inspection technologies and traditional metrology equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience interpreting technical drawings, performing precise measurements, and communicating inspection results to cross-functional teams. This position plays a critical role in manufacturing product quality, supporting continuous improvement efforts, and ensuring compliance with company and industry standards. In this role, you will need to pass a vision test and be able to lift up to 20 lbs. Why Rolls-Royce? What you will be doing:
Perform dimensional inspections using GOM scanners, CMM, and traditional metrology tools (e.g., callipers, micrometers, height gauges) Conduct visual inspections to verify part integrity, workmanship, and adherence to specifications Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, GD&T, and technical specifications to perform accurate inspections Document inspection results in reports and databases, ensuring accurate records are maintained for traceability Collaborate with engineering, production and quality teams to communicate non-conformances and support corrective actions Support calibration and maintenance of inspection equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability Uphold safety and quality standards in accordance with company policies and industry requirements Who we're looking for: At Rolls-Royce we put safety first, do the right thing, keep it simple and make a difference. Basic Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED (General Educational Development) In order to be eligible for consideration, you must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
Preferred Requirements:
Experience operating GOM scanners, CMM equipment, and traditional metrology tools. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and GD&T requirements. Prior experience in an aerospace, manufacturing, or precision machining environment. Strong attention to detail with experience documenting inspection results and non-conformances.
