A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Job Requirements Palmdale, CA Secret Polygraph Unspecified Career Level not specified Salary not specified Join Premium to unlock estimated salaries Job Description Dimension Control Technician 1 - Palmdale, CA 6 month contract, to $25/hr Position is for an aerospace/defense client. United States citizenship is required. Previous aerospace/defense experience is strongly preferred. Aerospace/defense client is seeking a Dimension Control Technician 1 to support their Assembly Tooling department. This position is on-site in Palmdale, CA. The Dimension Control Technician Level 1 will receive direct supervision from training personnel or their immediate supervisor. The duties and tasks are basic and repetitive. The individual has little to no understanding of the job. The job is performed in a training environment, where errors are corrected as part of the learning process. The worker's interactions are primarily with immediate supervisors, training staff, and other new employees. Any questions or problems are referred to higher-level personnel.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent
  • Must have the ability to frequently move and position objects weighing 35 pounds.
  • Ability to work inside and outside in a warehouse/shop floor environment.
  • Ability to handle and assemble small parts and machinery.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret level clearance, including Special Access Program within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
  • Ability to work 10% overtime.
  • Ability to work any shift.
