GP Strategies Government Solutions has an immediate need for an Aircraft Recertification Assessor/Proctor Lab to support a large aerospace client in Victorville, CA. We are seeking candidates who can conduct re-certification assessment/proctoring facilitation covering a broad range of Aerospace Systems, Electrical, Mechanical, and Structures subject matter. This is a full-time, salaried, benefitted role.
Job Summary:
- Conduct/coordinate recertification facilitation events for customer employees.
- Conducts and performs Re-certification Assessments using the appropriate medium and method (computer-based electronic testing, written testing, and practical application testing) to satisfy business needs and requirements.
- Assesses and tests the competence of employees in performing tasks of re-certification and qualification to comply with government and organizational standards and specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Re-certification Open Lab Facilitation, E-Test and paper testing
- Assess/test practical application testing to meet the requirements
- Determine the needs of learners within the LMS (My Learning)
- Proctor and inspect the re-certification session / assess initial written assessments
- Roster results in MyLearning
- Execute site re-certification needs/completion reports
- Ensure general shop safety policies are followed in training lab
- Maintain training lab documentation and policies
- Maintain printed assessment packages for all courses
- Maintain packet material quantities
- Update packages post engineering/courseware changes
- Maintain secure storage of tools and material
Requirements:
- Must be able to work any shift, with prior notice: Approximately 70% 1st shift, 20% 2ndshift, 10 % 3rd shift.
- Experience with aircraft manufacturing/mechanical experience or other relevant aerospace experience (e.g., systems, electrical, structures, maintenance, repair, overhaul, or military)
- Ability to read/understand process specifications and engineering drawings
- Prior experience as an instructor is a plus
- Experience with Shield Terminations, Crimping, Bond & Ground and Seal a plus
- Quality Assurance experience a plus
- Ability to travel 10-15% if needed Requirements
