NDT Level II Full Job Description Summary of Work:
Performs quality inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT) activities to ensure products and materials met company standards, customer specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Essential Job Duties:
  • Inspect products or materials to ensure they meet quality standards and comply with codes and regulations
  • Work closely with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality/NDT related findings
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and applicable manuals such as
ASTM, NAS-410, SOP
  • Write accurate inspection reports, record and document any findings or discrepancies
  • Analyze schematics, blueprints, or other technical documents to understand product specifications and requirements
  • Assemble and disassemble products or components for inspection purposes
  • Conduct visual inspections to identify any surface defects or abnormalities
  • Perform functional testing to ensure proper operation of products
  • Document inspection results and maintain accurate records of findings
  • Collaborate with other team members to address any quality issues or concerns
  • Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment as required
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential function satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable a qualified individual with disabilities to perform the essential job functions.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship preferred; supplemented by 3 or more years' of experience as an NDT Inspector.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
A self-starter with strong attention to detail and the ability to handle the necessary functions entailed in order to execute job duties required in the role.
  • Must be authorized to legally work in the U.S.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage multi-functional tasks, organized and efficient.
  • Must be able to effectively communicate in English (oral and written) with all employees, contractors and vendors.
  • Must be able to work independently with limited supervision, work well in team environment with the ability to collaborate with others.
  • Strong knowledge of codes, standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Ability to interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify defects or discontinuities.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze data and make informed decisions Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Products, and similar system.
Working conditions:
    Physical Activity:
    Role will require standing, walking, bending, and lifting for extended periods. Must be able to regularly lift and/or carry up to 20lbs.
      Temperature and Noise Levels:
      The work environment may vary in temperature, with exposure to noise from machinery and power tools; hearing protection may be required.
        Safety Precautions:
        Safety gear such as helmets, gloves, and goggles may be necessary while in the shop, adhering to all safety protocols to minimize risks.
          Collaboration and Communication:
          Regular interaction with disassembly, paint, bushing and honing, machine shop, plating, polishing, sandblasting, and inspection departments to coordinate final assemblies.
            Hours:
            Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings or weekends, depending on operational needs and departmental demands.
            Pay:
            From $24.00 per hour
