What they do

A Non-Destructive Testing Specialist uses ultrasonic, electromagnetic, thermal or liquid penetration tests to check structures or materials for cracks, defects or signs of corrosion. May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Job Description

Entry-Level Boiler Inspector Positions Open with
UDC Pay:
$20-$25 per hour, Extensive OT, plus $56/workday Per Diem Get paid to travel the country Company covers flights, rental cars, and individual hotel rooms Generous Per Diem allowance for meals and extras (paid weekly) All PPE and tools provided (boots, overalls, gear/equipment) Summers and Winters off Heavy Overtime pay No out-of-pocket expenses UDC Inspectors work mainly in the Spring and Fall seasons, traveling approximately 165 days per year and average 60-70 hours per week while in the field. Summers and Winters are the off-season, but Overtime will be extensive during peak season (Spring and Fall). OT is paid on anything over 8 hours per day Monday-Friday, and all weekend hours.

A basic mechanical aptitude is necessary and knowledge of combustion technology is a definite plus. You will learn proven techniques using high-tech equipment to detect the smallest imperfections and failures inside boiler units at power plants that generate the power for communities like yours.
