May work on large structures such as bridges, dams or pipelines, or check vehicles such as aircraft. Interprets and reports on test results that include images and measurements; maintains and calibrates equipment.

Hourly Rate:
$15-20 /hour (experience depending), plus great benefits. We work with our clients to comply with federal/state regulations and improve safety and operational integrity by utilizing cathodic protection and coatings engineering/design, construction/inspection, field surveys, and troubleshooting/maintenance. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and Drug / alcohol pre-employment screening Essential Duties Perform Indirect Inspection Survey (Close Interval Potential Survey (CIS), Direct Current Voltage Gradient Survey (DCVG), and Alternating Current Voltage Gradient Survey (ACVG)) Install Cathodic Protection System (Rectifiers, Groundbeds, Cabling, and Remote Monitoring Units (RMUs)) Measure Soil Resistivity (Wenner 4-Pin, Soil Resistivity Box) Utilize Pipeline Locators, Pipeline Current Mapping (PCM) Job Requirements Be able to work alone and in groups. Be able to work outdoors in all safe weather conditions, walk over various terrains and up to several miles per day. Hold a valid Driver's License to drive company vehicles and have an acceptable driving record. Must be able to pass a criminal background check and Drug / alcohol pre-employment screening Be able to lift 50 pounds and work with hand/power tools. Be able to travel, up to 100% of the time, for mobilizations up to 5 weeks, including overtime work. Be familiar with Microsoft Office and basic computer applications. Work is primarily in the Midwest but could be anywhere across the country. Overnight stays and overtime are required. The essential duties and job requirements are examples of the type of work performed by corrosion technicians, describing the general nature of the position. NPS reserves the right to modify the work assignments and/or to make reasonable accommodations so that qualified employees can perform the essential functions.
