Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support quality operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for ensuring all welded components meet required codes, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding inspection, a solid understanding of industry standards, and the ability to work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain compliance and drive continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Perform visual and dimensional inspections of welded assemblies Ensure compliance with applicable welding codes and standards (AWS, ISO, etc.) Review and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and specifications Verify welder qualifications and welding procedures (WPS/PQR) Identify weld defects and document inspection results accurately Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for quality issues Collaborate with production and quality teams to ensure consistent output Maintain inspection records and quality documentation Qualifications Current Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification required 3+ years of welding inspection experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of welding processes (MIG, TIG, Spot Welding preferred) Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols Familiarity with AWS standards and quality systems Experience with inspection tools and measurement equipment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Opportunity for long-term employment Health, dental, and vision insurance options Career growth and advancement opportunities IND2
