We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with AWS codes and will be responsible for ensuring weld quality, safety compliance, and project standards are met. This position also involves collaboration with other departments to ensure proper documentation and continuous quality improvement.Key Responsibilities:
Perform weld inspections in compliance with AWS D1.1, D1.5 and other relevant codes. Conduct visual inspections of welds and components. Utilize NDE (Non-Destructive Examination) techniques, such as ultrasonic, magnetic particle, dye penetrant testing NDE LevelII MT, PT.
Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Utilize tape measures, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments for dimensional verification. Ensure accurate documentation of inspections and results. Work closely with welders, supervisors, and engineers to address and correct any issues. Assist in the calibration and maintenance of equipment used in inspections. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AWS and other industry standards. Complete travelers, weld mapping, inspection reportsPerform Welder Qualification and Procedure Qualifications Qualifications:
Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification is required. Familiarity with AWS codes and standards. Working knowledge of NDE techniques such as UT, MT, and PT. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. Proficiency with calibration systems and measurement tools like tape measures, micrometers, and calipers. Strong computer skills and familiarity with software used for reporting and documentation. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.Why Join Us:
