Tulsa, OK Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Non-destructive testing High school diploma or GED Full Job Description The Mechanical Integrity NDE Technician is responsible for executing non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection activities in support of Mechanical Integrity programs for pipelines, process equipment, pressure vessels, and structural assets. This role ensures regulatory compliance, supports reliability initiatives, and upholds client and industry standards by providing accurate, high-quality data and technical documentation.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform NDE inspections using techniques such as UT, MT, PT, and VT in accordance with applicable codes (ASME, API, DOT, etc.). Execute inspections as part of Mechanical Integrity programs including baseline assessments, scheduled monitoring, and fitness-for-service evaluations. Collect, analyze, and report data related to wall thickness, corrosion rates, cracking, weld quality, and structural integrity. Interpret results and identify defects, degradation, or anomalies that may impact equipment reliability or safety. Support risk-based inspection (RBI) and integrity management efforts by providing field data to engineers and integrity teams. Ensure proper calibration, use, and care of NDE tools and inspection equipment. Maintain accurate and complete inspection records, including isometric markups, photo documentation, and report generation. Communicate findings with internal teams and client representatives in a clear and professional manner. Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a culture of safety in field environments. Assist in training and mentoring less experienced technicians, when applicable.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary technical education preferred. Certifiable to
ASNT SNT-TC-1A
in at least two of the following methods: UT, MT, PT, or VT. 2+ years of experience in NDE field work, preferably in oil & gas, petrochemical, or power sectors.
Preferred Qualifications:
Additional NDE certifications (e.g., Phased Array UT, Automated UT). API certifications (510, 570, 653) a plus. Experience with digital reporting systems and inspection management software. TWIC card and/or safety credentials (e.g., OSHA 10/30, H2S, PEC).

Technical Proficiency:
In-depth understanding of NDE techniques and mechanical degradation mechanisms. Attention to
Detail:
Ability to detect small defects or deviations that may affect equipment integrity. Accurate and complete reporting.
Communication:
Clear verbal and written communication skills for technical reporting and team interaction.
Problem Solving:
Ability to assess anomalies and recommend appropriate follow-up actions or additional evaluations.
Safety Awareness:
Commitment to personal and team safety in hazardous work environments.
Client Focus:
Ability to represent the company professionally and support customer satisfaction goals.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Internal - Work is normally performed in a climate controlled office environment (10%) External - Work is normally performed in a field environment with exposure to various weather conditions (90%)
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Work involves standing, walking and bending. Work normally requires reaching in all directions, seeing and hearing with or without correction, applying basic mathematical skills, writing, and moderate computer keyboard skills. Work may require additional hours and weekend work to ensure project and reporting deadlines are met.
WORKING RELATIONSHIPS/CONTACTS
Internal - Frequent contact with inspectors, other company departments and management. External -Work requires travel outside of the office, including jobsite visits in industrial and/or oilfield locations, and involves frequent contact with external clients and customers.
