40.0 Overview System One is seeking entry level NDT/Mechanical Integrity Inspectors for a long-term contract role on-site in Clairton PA. Candidates must be local to the area or looking to relocate. The entry level inspector / NDT technician will work under the direction of a level II inspection to provide labor support in the form of using power tools, 4" side grinders, end grinders, scrapers, and mechanical tools to prep plant equipment for inspection. The entry level technician will also assist the level II inspector during the inspection process, gaining the necessary hours to become a certified MI inspector / NDT technician. This includes the inspection safety planning, inspection execution planning, inspection and inspection report generation. Candidates must show the willingness to learn for the purpose of evolving into advanced level inspection roles. Responsibilities Support the inspection process by preparing plant equipment using power tools, 4" side grinders, end grinders, scrapers, and mechanical tools. Assist level II inspectors during inspections, gaining hours toward certification as a MI inspector / NDT technician. Follow safety planning, inspection execution, and report generation protocols. Report to a Lead Inspector who sets work quality, efficiency, and technical development expectations. Demonstrate a willingness to learn and develop into advanced inspection roles. Requirements Ability to use mechanical tools such as grinders. Ability to familiarize with industrial drawings (blueprints), safety procedures, inspection procedures, and reporting systems. High school diploma or GED. Capable of working in a heavy industrial environment. Must pass a background and drug screen.
