Job Description

Overview We are an AISC certified fabrication shop seeking a detail-oriented CWI and energetic Fab Shop Weld Inspector to join our manufacturing team. In this vital role, you will ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the welding process
D1.1 & D1.5
in our fabrication shop. Your expertise will help uphold strict compliance with industry regulations and quality systems, contributing to the production of precision-engineered components. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of quality assurance in a dynamic manufacturing environment dedicated to excellence. Responsibilities Conduct thorough visual and dimensional inspections of welded components Verify weld quality and conformance to specifications by performing non-destructive testing and analysis, including VT, UT and MT Ensure compliance with industry standards such as
AREMA, AASHTO, AWS
Perform regular quality audits and inspections throughout the fabrication process to identify deviations and ensure adherence to quality control protocols Collect data on welds and fabrication processes for analysis, reporting findings to support continuous improvement initiatives Maintain detailed inspection records, documentation, and reports in accordance with QA/QC procedures Collaborate with manufacturing teams to address quality issues promptly and implement corrective actions Skills Proven experience as a CWI in manufacturing quality inspection, especially within a fab shop or welding environment Strong knowledge of welding techniques and standards Experience Surface prep and Paint inspection a must. Familiarity with RT and able to read xray film results Ability to perform data collection, analysis, and interpret results effectively for quality assurance purposes Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions within a manufacturing setting to meet AISC standards Excellent attention to detail combined with strong analysis skills to identify root causes of defects or deviations Join us as a Fab Shop Weld Inspector and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality products that meet rigorous industry standards. Pay:
$35.00 - $45.00 per hour
