Job Description
ElyoniX is seeking experienced NDT Operators for direct-hire opportunities with a leading specialty materials manufacturer in Reading, Pennsylvania.. This position involves operating automated immersion UT systems, performing equipment setups and examinations, inspecting materials, and documenting test results. Candidates must have hands-on immersion ultrasonic testing experience and be able to provide documentation of their applicable NDT training, experience, and certifications. Responsibilities Safely operate automated immersion ultrasonic testing systems. Perform daily immersion UT setups, examinations, and equipment checks. Inspect materials and components for possible internal or external defects. Evaluate and accurately document inspection results. Follow applicable NDT procedures, work instructions, and acceptance criteria. Perform minor equipment adjustments and maintenance as instructed. Occasionally operate a hand crane to move materials or bundles. Follow all safety, quality, and production requirements. Work overtime, weekends, and holidays when required. Perform other duties as assigned by supervision. Required Qualifications Previous hands-on immersion ultrasonic testing experience. Documentation of applicable NDT training, experience hours, and certifications. Ability to complete a technical assessment to demonstrate immersion UT capabilities. Ability and willingness to rotate among first, second, and third shifts. Availability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays when required. Ability to commute to Reading, PA, or relocate before starting employment. Preferred Qualifications Current or previous employer-based Level II UT certification. Experience performing C-Scan inspections. At least 80 documented hours of formal UT training. Documented ultrasonic testing on-the-job experience hours. Experience operating automated immersion UT systems. High school diploma or equivalent.
