Position Overview A manufacturing organization specializing in advanced metal processing is seeking an experienced Level II NDT Inspector to support its quality and inspection operations. This position will perform non-destructive testing on a variety of metal products and components and will be responsible for accurately identifying, evaluating, and documenting potential material discontinuities. Primary Responsibilities Perform ultrasonic examinations on metallic materials and fabricated components in accordance with established inspection procedures. Conduct both straight-beam and shear-wave UT examinations as required. Prepare, verify, and adjust ultrasonic inspection equipment prior to performing examinations. Complete equipment checks and calibrations to ensure reliable and repeatable inspection results. Analyze indications and determine whether results meet applicable acceptance criteria. Document inspection results accurately and prepare reports and other required quality records. Review engineering drawings, specifications, procedures, and applicable codes to determine inspection requirements. Work closely with engineering, quality, and production personnel to resolve inspection-related issues. Assist with dimensional inspection, liquid penetrant examination, and other quality-control activities when needed. Provide technical assistance and day-to-day guidance to less experienced inspection personnel. Perform routine care, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting of inspection equipment. Follow all established safety policies, quality procedures, and inspection practices. Keep technical knowledge current through training, continuing education, and exposure to evolving NDT practices. Qualifications Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) in accordance with ASNT SNT-TC-1A or an equivalent employer-based qualification program. At least 2 years of documented experience performing Level II UT inspections. Practical experience conducting shear-wave ultrasonic examinations. Ability to accurately interpret inspection results and determine compliance with established requirements. Ability to read and understand technical drawings, inspection procedures, specifications, and industry standards. Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to work effectively with inspection equipment. Sound judgment and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy. Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Pay:

$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
