You will be responsible for inspecting welds according to
AWS/ASME
codes and customer specifications, performing ultrasonic testing, and supporting production teams in resolving defects. Your expertise will help drive continuous improvement and ensure our products meet stringent industry requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
Inspect welds to
AWS/ASME
codes and project specifications Perform and document weld inspections, including ultrasonic testing (UT) examinations; interpret indications and report results Review welding procedure specifications (WPS/PQR) and verify welder qualifications Conduct & maintain inspection records, nonconformance reports (NCRs), and traceability documentation Coordinate with production teams to resolve weld defects and support rework/repair activities
Requirements Required Qualifications:
High school diploma Hands-on experience performing ultrasonic testing (UT) weld inspections across thicknesses from 11ga to 3 inch Experience inspecting welds to
AWS D1.1
standards NDT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Authorized to work in the United States Ability to stand and walk for extended periods in a manufacturing environment Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, bend, kneel, crouch, and reach to access weld locations in tight or awkward positions Ability to work in industrial conditions (noise, heat/cold, fumes) while wearing required
PPE Preferred Qualifications:
Experience reviewing WPS/PQR documentation and verifying welder qualifications Experience maintaining weld inspection documentation, including inspection records, NCRs, and traceability documentation NDT certification or documented qualification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) Ability to climb ladders and work at heights as needed to access welds AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) certification Benefits
THIS IS NOT A TEMP TO HIRE POSITION, IT IS A FULL TIME POSITION WITH BENEFITS.
Employees are eligible for a full benefit package: 10 paid holidays + 1 week vacation after 6 months, 2 weeks after 18 months, 3 weeks after 5 years, 4 weeks after 10. Medical, dental and vision insurance is offered at very reasonable rates. Family coverage is approximately $95 per week. Company paid life insurance for employee, optional coverage is available for family at additional discounted cost. Uniforms provided. Pay is weekly. Regularly scheduled performance reviews.
