Job Description
Clean Harbors is seeking a Tank Inspector to perform inspections of storage tanks and related equipment for structural integrity, corrosion, and regulatory compliance. Working within the Inspection, Certification & Quality Control department, you will conduct visual and NDT assessments, document findings, and support repair recommendations to protect people and the environment. You'll work closely with operations teams on industrial and environmental projects, upholding our safety-first culture and strict environmental standards while contributing to innovative, sustainability-focused solutions. Responsibilities Perform internal and external inspections of storage tanks and related equipment for structural integrity and corrosion Conduct non-destructive testing (e.g., UT thickness, MT, PT) and accurately interpret results Document inspection findings, prepare detailed reports, and maintain regulatory and client records Verify compliance with relevant codes, standards, and environmental regulations (e.g., API, EPA) Recommend repairs, maintenance, and mitigation measures based on inspection results Work safely in confined spaces and at heights following Clean Harbors' safety procedures Coordinate with project managers and site supervisors to schedule and complete inspections Use digital tools and inspection software to capture data and generate documentation Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives Travel to client sites and facilities as required, sometimes on short notice Required Skills Tank inspection and integrity assessment Non-destructive testing (UT, MT, PT)
