Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Welder to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will perform welding, cutting, and brazing metal pieces by using flame-cutting and hand welding equipment. They will also examine products for flaws and structural weaknesses using non-destructive testing techniques. •
NOTE:
We perform Hair Follicle drug testing as a prerequisite to hire•Responsibilities Preparing steel products for Mag Particle Inspection by grinding, polishing, and shot blasting Identifying material defects Interpreting test results Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area Plan details of work order procedures; gather required tools and materials based on instructions and specifications provided for the job Repairs and fabricates various items and equipment using cutting, burning, and welding techniques and equipment Monitors the welding, burning, and fitting process to ensure parts are not overheated or damaged by warping, distortion, expansion, or shrinkage Prepares, assembles, and tacks weld parts and surfaces to be welded Notifies supervisor when faulty equipment or defective materials are discovered Examines weld for bead size and other specifications Chips off excess weld, slag, and spatter Perform all duties in support of PETOL Gearench Quality Management System Perform all duties as designated by supervisor/manager and/or by the job position description Develop and maintain a high level of enthusiasm and positive attitude Be available for overtime assignments as required to fulfill job responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned Skills Proficiency in various welding techniques, including surface mount technology and soldering. Strong understanding of ASME codes & standards related to welding practices. Mechanical knowledge with experience using hand tools, calipers, micrometers, and other measurement devices. Familiarity with quality control and quality assurance procedures within manufacturing environments. Ability to read schematics, technical drawings, and assembly instructions accurately. Experience with non-destructive testing methods for weld inspection. Data collection skills for tracking production metrics and quality data. Analytical skills for troubleshooting defects and optimizing welding processes. This position is integral to maintaining high standards of manufacturing quality while supporting continuous process improvements within our organization.

$26.00 - $32.00 per hour
