Job Title:
Non-Destructive Testing Technician Job Description The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Level II Technician collaborates closely with skilled trades teams to oversee operational testing and inspections. This role ensures the quality of equipment and structures during fleet modernization alterations and installations. Responsibilities Conduct and oversee non-destructive testing and inspections to assess the quality and integrity of equipment and structures. Qualify in Visual Testing (VT) and Penetrant Testing (PT), with Magnetic Testing (MT) being desirable. Collaborate with skilled trades teams to ensure compliance with quality standards during fleet modernization and installations. Essential Skills NDT Level II certification Proficiency in NDT inspection techniques Experience in non-destructive testing Minimum of 8 years in the NDT field Familiarity with U.S. Navy shipboard piping systems Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in Magnetic Testing (MT) is desirable Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Newport News, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
