Job Description
Join Spuncast, a leader in the manufacturing of high-quality castings, where innovation and continuous improvement drive our success. As an Inspector Level II, you will play a critical role in ensuring our products meet rigorous quality standards and customer specifications. Responsibilities Conduct in-process, finished, and final inspections of castings to ensure compliance with blueprints, job specifications, and ISO certifications. Perform visual inspections, dimensional testing, chemical analysis, non-destructive testing (NDT), and Magnaflux testing on parts. Initiate and issue Discrepancy Material Reports (DMRs) as needed. Compile, review, and compare test findings and results to ensure product compliance; audit move tickets for accuracy. Verify heat and lot numbers at all stages of in-process work to ensure traceability and accuracy. Assist in training Inspectors and other employees in measurement, inspection techniques, and Statistical Process Control (SPC) sheets. May provide direction to other inspectors as required. Actively participate in Spuncasts Continuous Improvement Plan and contribute to team initiatives. Perform other related duties as assigned. Adhere to Spuncasts Core Values in all work activities. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required. Level II Inspector certification according to
SNT-TC-1A
specifications, including NDT inspection techniques in liquid penetrant inspection (LPI), visual, fluorescence methods, and magnetic particle testing. Minimum of 3 years of experience in inspection roles. Proficient in using micrometers and reading blueprints. Strong math, organizational, communication, and computer skills. Ability to work in various environments, including office, production areas, and outdoors, with required use of personal protective equipment. Physical ability to stand, use hands and fingers, reach, occasionally sit, climb, balance, stoop, and lift/move up to 70 pounds. Vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
