Job Description

Overview Our Nuclear Services Group is looking for a Nuclear Licensing Engineer. This role can be based remotely in the US, or in any of our onsite offices. This is a Full Time role and will give you a chance to work on impactful projects, collaborate with top-tier professionals, and make a lasting impact on the future of energy. Responsibilities In this role, you'll support licensing and regulatory work for nuclear materials programs — from preparing key submittals to tracking commitments and supporting NRC audits. It's an opportunity to work alongside top-tier professionals on projects that help advance the future of safe, reliable energy.
Regulatory Documentation & Submittals :
Provide regulatory support to prepare safety analysis reports (SAR) and licensing applications, specifically for sections involving Material Control and Accountability (MCA), Fundamental Nuclear Material Control Plan (FNMCP), and safeguards. Provide regulatory expertise to develop and review documents for submittal and/or presentation to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), other regulatory agencies, or clients, with accountability for accuracy and completeness of these documents
Commitment Tracking :
Provide regulatory support to evaluate, track, and drive past and future commitments to closure as appropriate
Research & Analysis :
Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analysis in support of regulatory/technical projects and programs
Project Planning Support :
Provide input to project/program work schedule regarding the duration/scope of regulatory issues and the time/scope/effort involved in resolving them in order to implement project
Audit & Inspection Support :
Provide technical and regulatory support as needed in preparation for or during NRC audits and inspections Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics, Science, or Engineering from an accredited university AND 5+ years of experience in the nuclear industry Minimum 4 years of regulatory experience in the nuclear industry Excellent knowledge and understanding of regulations, regulatory agencies, and the regulatory processes supporting MCA and FNMCP Ability to represent ENERCON and/or clients at NRC, United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and other regulatory agencies' meetings and workshops Must have strong organizational and excellent written and verbal communication skills, with demonstrated competencies in technical writing, facilitation, and decision-making Ability to work in time constraining regulatory environment while maintaining a quality product Must be able to work productively with other staff, at all levels, in a team environment Provide direct project support as an individual contributor or team leader Technical proficiency in understanding general engineering, design, and the nuclear industry Additional Information ENERCON Services, Inc.
