Position Description You will serve as an
INDUSTRIAL SPECIALIST
in the
SYSTEM SAFETY AND AIR SYSTEMS INTEGRATION DEPARTMENT, SYSTEM SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENTAL ENGINEERING DIVISION, SYSTEM SAFETY BRANCH
of
NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
Position Duties/Responsibilities You will support various Integrated Program Teams during all phases of a system's life cycle including requirements formation, development, production, manufacturing, testing, fleet deployment, and system disposal. You will provide technical direction for the planning, organizing, directing, conducting, and reporting of system safety engineering in direct support of assigned programs and integrated weapons systems for air and sea applications. You will attend and participate in conferences, working groups, and/or technical meetings at other government activities, or contractor facilities. You will manage the system safety program by creating and tailoring system safety requirements for developing new specifications and modifying aircraft equipment. You will interpret test results and brief flight and ground test personnel on project safety plans and outcomes. You will ensure approved budget and expenditures of funds and supporting activities are in accordance with existing regulations and are not exceeded.
