Job Description

Piping Engineer (100% Remote - Nuclear Projects) Fully Remote | Work on Major Nuclear Power Projects Nationwide We're seeking an experienced Piping Engineer to join one of the top nuclear engineering firms in the U.S. This is a fully remote opportunity supporting critical nuclear power plant upgrades, modifications, and facility improvements. In this role, you'll work on high-visibility, technically challenging projects for large utility clients—contributing to long-term, meaningful advancements in the energy and utility industry, all while working remotely. If you have strong nuclear or power piping experience and want to work on impactful projects without being tied to a site or office, this is a great opportunity. What You'll Be Doing Prepare and review engineering calculations and designs for nuclear piping systems Perform code qualification and stress analysis per ASME B31.1 and ASME Section III Emphasis on Class 1 and Class 2/3 piping Execute piping analysis for: Thermal expansion Dynamic and vibration loads Seismic response spectrum and Time History analysis Utilize industry-leading tools such as AutoPIPE, ME-101, and other piping analysis software Experience with ANSYS (FEA) is a strong plus Design and analyze: Pipe hangers and supports Snubbers, spring cans, and linear supports Perform nozzle stress evaluations and support component or vessel design Develop technical specifications for piping, valves, and associated components Produce high-quality documentation with clear, professional written communication Participate in the nuclear design change / standard design process Support field engineering efforts as needed (site walkdowns are limited and project-dependent) What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Civil/Structural Engineering 3+ years of experience in nuclear and/or power/utility engineering Strong working knowledge of: ASME Section

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
