Job Description Summary The Technical Leader will provide direction, technical leadership, resource management, and coordination of the efforts by the Deterministic Safety Analysis (DSA) team supporting the BWRX mega-project. The position offers limitless opportunities to contribute to the fundamental bases of nuclear power plant operations and safety analysis by applying state-of-the-art thermal hydraulics methods to satisfy licensing requirements and solve real day-to-day plant problems. This individual must have excellent communication, presentation, and teamwork skills as they will be required to interface with a variety of individuals with diverse backgrounds. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide support to the functional manager to plan, assign, manage, and oversee resources and schedules. Work effectively and make positive contributions in a dynamic team environment. Prepare thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations. Perform technical verifications of engineering technical deliverables. Provide engineering expertise, guidance, and technical mentoring. Prepare, communicate, and present complex technical issues to internal and external customers and recommend solutions. Implement continual improvement of safety analysis work processes.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor's degree in Nuclear or Mechanical Engineering or similar 8 years nuclear power industry experience

Eligibility Requirements:

This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government. The preferred work location for this role is at the GEH Headquarters Wilmington, NC but qualified remote candidates will be considered.

DESIRED:

M.S. or Ph.D. degree in Engineering. Prior experience with thermal-hydraulic methods and codes (eg, TRAC, RELAP) Understand standard engineering work planning, scheduling, and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the application of engineering techniques. Extensive knowledge of BWR Systems and integrated plant response. Extensive knowledge of the fundamental principles of nuclear engineering such as nuclear physics, thermal hydraulics, and mechanical design, as applied to BWR. Experience with standard engineering work planning and design process techniques Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity. Demonstrate a strong personal commitment and determination. Detail-oriented and accountable for results. Communicate with credibility and confidence. Display a strong drive for continuous improvement. This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
