Radiation Effects Engineer We are seeking a SoC Radiation Effects Engineer to design and execute radiation testing for advanced integrated circuits at university and government facilities. This role involves developing software, FPGA systems, and test infrastructure while ensuring high-quality data collection and analysis. The position also includes mentoring students and contributing to technical publications. We invite qualified candidates to apply and be part of this collaborative and innovative research effort. What you'll do in this position: Develop and Prepare Test Experiments Design and document radiation test plans for complex SoC systems Develop supporting software, firmware, and FPGA-based test components Assemble and integrate laboratory and data acquisition infrastructure Conduct Experimental Campaigns Perform radiation testing at university and government facilities Coordinate with facility staff to ensure safe and effective execution Supervise and support student involvement during testing Analyze Results and Contribute to Research Process and evaluate experimental data with attention to accuracy and integrity Prepare technical reports, publications, and presentations Train and mentor student researchers in experimental methods and practices What qualifies you for this role: Required A firm commitment to the mission of BYU MS Degree in Electrical and/or Computer Engineering Preferred Previous experience in IC radiation testing 4 years of relevant experience What we offer in return: In addition to our competitive pay structure, this position comes with fantastic benefits , including: 401k.
