Job Description
Principal Radiation Effects Engineer, Defense & Space Manufacturing (USC or Permanent Resident required)

12 months to 3 years with potential for extension(s)- ITAR required so must be U.
- Radiation Environment & Survivability Analysis Define mission radiation environments spectra (e.
- Mitigation Strategy Development Recommend component selection, shielding strategies, circuit level hardening techniques, and system level architectural approaches. Guide electronic design teams on layout, redundancy, error detection/correction, derating, and other resilience mechanisms.
- Testing & Verification Leadership Develop radiation test plans, including TID/ELDRS, DDD/TNID, and SEE testing . Coordinate with external radiation test facilities and oversee execution and data analysis. Document results, maintain compliance evidence, and communicate performance impacts and required mitigations.
- Cross Functional Technical Leadership Partner with design engineering, suppliers, reliability teams, and program management to ensure radiation requirements are flowed down and met.
Salary Range:
$160,000- $190,000 annually H10 provides eligible employees (those who are scheduled to work 30 hours or more per week) with a range of benefits including medical insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, PTO, and a 401k plan.
