Salary Range:

We are seeking a Laser Engineer II to join our dynamic team of industry leading experts. As a qualified candidate, you will: Under the direction of the Process Engineering Manager, be responsible for laser and mechanical process development (from proof-of-concept prototypes to sustained manufacturing validation) Plan and coordinate engineering activities, studies, and programs in support of standard production and new product development. Handle process implementation for applications such as laser cutting, laser welding, and deburring small medical components. Be responsible for laser cutting and welding process development, including motion programming, optical alignment, parameter development and optimization, troubleshooting Generate documentation for process implementation including Operating procedures, work instructions, engineering drawings, manufacturing software, etc. Support and provide equipment guidelines and tooling modifications for process improvements. Generate models/drawings to support process development Support company-wide and internal cost-improvement projects, specifically for the laser processing group Follow health, safety and environmental programs for preventative maintenance - adhering to safety protocols and ensuring that all hazards are properly managed. Education & Experience BS degree in mechanical engineering/physics or other relevant engineering discipline required. Minimum of two years of experience in process development and/or laser processing. Medical device manufacturing experience a plus. You will have an edge if you: Are passionate working with integrated, complex technologies and machines Are experienced with CAM programming and development. Have laser processing experience. Have a strong background in SolidWorks. Possess strong communication skills - both written and oral.
