Job Description

The Opto-Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and integrating high-performance compact camera modules for cutting-edge
AI/AR/VR
devices. This role requires experience in camera design and cross-functional collaboration, hands-on prototyping, and experience with high-volume manufacturing.
Qualifications:
BS or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Optics, Physics, or related field 3+ years of proven experience designing miniature opto-mechanical modules or components for consumer electronics, such as AR/VR, mobile devices, or cameras Demonstrated expertise in mechanical design, encompassing proficiency in tolerance analysis. Proven experience to utilize 3D CAD modeling and drafting software packages Understanding of structural and thermal FEA, as well as material and adhesives properties Familiar with Active Alignment (AA) process for camera module assembly Experience with vendor interfacing and production methods Demonstrated design experience for mass production, including plastic injection molding and
RFPC/PCB
Experience collaborating across disciplines and managing projects from initial design to high-volume manufacturing Basic structural and thermal Finite Element Analysis (FEA) Experience with NX software Experience with consumer electronics camera and depth module design at leading tech companies Familiarity with optical simulation and ray tracing software (e.g., Zemax, Code V, LightTools)
