Job Description

We are looking for an Electro-Optical Engineer to join our LYNX development team and take part in developing advanced electro-optical capabilities for next-generation systems. This role combines practical engineering work, system-level thinking, experimentation, and innovation. You'll lead hands-on activities involving sensors, cameras, lenses, thermal technologies, and optical subsystems, while working closely with multidisciplinary teams to integrate these technologies into complex operational platforms. You'll have the opportunity to influence both component-level and system-level development, from early concept stages through testing, integration, validation, and deployment. What You'll Do Evaluate, characterize, and integrate electro-optical components including cameras, sensors, lenses, thermal imaging modules, compasses, and related subsystems. Design, plan, and execute optical experiments, measurements, and system integration activities. Develop and implement test methodologies for image quality, sensor accuracy, optical performance, environmental behavior, and overall system functionality. Support integration of new technologies into existing and future LYNX systems. Work closely with suppliers and external partners on technical evaluations, design reviews, performance analysis, and problem-solving. Prepare technical documentation including specifications, test plans, reports, and engineering summaries. Support troubleshooting, verification, validation, and field-testing activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across mechanics, electronics, software, systems engineering, QA, and operations. What We're Looking For B.Sc. or higher in Electro-Optical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. 3+ years of hands-on experience with electro-optical systems or optical measurement environments. Strong understanding of imaging systems, optics, cameras, sensors, lenses, and optical performance principles. Experience planning and conducting experiments, measurements, and technical analysis. Familiarity with optical laboratory environments and measurement equipment. Ability to independently lead tasks and take ownership from concept to execution. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Nice to Have Experience with thermal imaging systems, infrared technologies, or Day/Night electro-optical payloads. Background in hardware-software integration within multidisciplinary environments. Experience with engineering and simulation tools such as Zemax, Code V, MATLAB, or Python. Background in defense, robotics, aerospace, observation systems, or autonomous platforms. Experience working with suppliers and external technology partners.
