Job Description
Lead the design, simulation, and launch of headlamp and signal lamp systems for the heavy-duty OEM market. You will bridge the gap between initial optical concept and final production, ensuring all systems meet rigorous durability and regulatory standards.
Core Requirements Optical Design:
Extensive experience designing automotive LED systems, molded lenses, and metallized reflectors.Software Suite:
Proficiency in LucidShape (preferred), Zemax, or SPEOS; experience with Creo is highly preferred ( Catia/NX acceptable).Regulatory Expert:
Deep knowledge ofFMVSS 108
, SAE, and UN (R148-R150) lighting standards.Validation:
Hands-on experience with goniometers, integrating spheres, and spectroradiometers.Manufacturing IQ:
Background in injection molding, coatings, GD&T, and tolerance stack-up analysis.Simulation & Analysis:
Ability to coordinate or perform FEA (ANSYS), CFD (FloEFD), and Moldflow analysis.Key Responsibilities End-to-End Ownership:
Lead lamp projects from design and simulation through validation and launch.Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, and Purchasing to resolve production issues and qualify suppliers.Technical Authority:
Research and apply industry standards while mentoring junior engineers in design best practices.Commercial Support:
