You will lead the technical work from early feasibility studies through proof‑of‑concept prototypes and validation, with a strong emphasis on machine vision optics, illumination and optical filtering optimization, and digital image analysis algorithms. You will also translate successful prototypes into robust, real‑time implementations suitable for pilot units and eventual manufacturing transfer. Key Responsibilities Lead feasibility studies and rapid prototyping to establish suitable measurement approaches, defining and building experimental setups and quantifying performance Specify and optimize imaging optics and capture configurations (camera/sensor selection, lens choice, working distance, FOV/DOF tradeoffs) Engineer illumination solutions to maximize target visibility and stability by controlling illumination geometry, wavelength, and optical filtering strategies Create tools for algorithm testing, image quality evaluation, and regression testing Develop software using OpenCV and one or more of:
C, C++, C
#, and/or MATLAB/Simulink; translate prototypes into deployable pipelines
