Job Description

As an Extrusion Manufacturing Engineering Technician V, you will focus on advancing the capabilities and services provided by the Plastics Extrusion department. You will partner with Manufacturing Engineers, Operations, R&D, Planning, and customers to resolve extrusion processing issues and drive improvements . In this role you will understand the operational challenges associated with an extrusion specification and translate that to tool, process setting, and material selection recommendations that result in high yielding manufacturable processes. Extrusion Manufacturing Engineering Technician's daily responsibilities include: Support goals for yield and productivity sustainment through process improvement and troubleshooting. Perform and provide guidance to other technicians on equipment preventative maintenance and troubleshooting. Training operators on manufacturing process and equipment operation/set-up. Coordinate and execute complex engineering studies requiring independent action and high degree of initiative. Compliance to our QA manual and documentation systems. Create, revise and execute IQ/OQ protocols/reports Navigate and view product and process documentation system to read, follow, and train personnel to procedures/standard work. Create and edit procedures. Execute documentation change plans. Drives training to fellow Manufacturing Technicians. Technical subject matter in Extrusion. Provide first level technical response to productions escalations. Categorize and escalate issues to appropriate channels. Support engineering work related design, procurement, fabrication, installation, documentation and qualification of manufacturing equipment, tooling and fixtures. Identify and implement cost improvement projects. Create and modify Visual Inspection programs utilizing Keyence and Microvue. Coordinate with outside contractors to resolve equipment issues, minimizing downtime. Work with technical team members (cross-functional and multi-site to deliver technical support to extrusion projects). Provide effective Engineering support to production including troubleshooting problems and influencing key decisions. Train, mentor, and provide direction to Operators. Author and route deviation authorization and ECO's. Other duties as assigned.
Shift Schedule as follow:
5 AM to 3:30 PM Monday to Thursday. What your background should look like H.S. graduate-prefer additional technical training and/or education Experience using visual inspection systems desired but not required 5+ Years of mastery in plastics extrusion 2+ Medical device experience required 3+ years industry experience and mastery of using calibrated metrology equipment to include: (use of pin gauges, laser micrometers, and ultrasonic measurement systems)

COMPENSATION
Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $83,300- $125,000 (subject to change dependent on physical location) Posted salary ranges are made in good faith. TE Connectivity reserves the right to adjust ranges depending on the experience/qualification of the selected candidate as well as internal and external equity. Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits
