Job Description

Our client, a leader in the electric utility and power systems industry, is seeking a
  • Protection & Control Engineer
  • to join their team.
As a Protection & Control Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering / Power Systems department supporting the design, development, testing, and commissioning of critical protection and control systems for substations and power infrastructure. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

  • Pay Range:
  • $90,000 - $110,000 _
  • Overtime paid at time and a half_
  • What's the Job?
  • + Design protection and control systems for substation and utility projects.
+ Prepare and review electrical diagrams, schematics, relay logic, and control house drawings. + Develop relay settings, protection schemes, and conduct coordination studies. + Support SCADA and communication integration with protection systems. + Coordinate with technicians, designers, and project managers throughout project phases, including testing and commissioning.
  • What's Needed?
  • + Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
+ 5+ years of experience in protection and control engineering or substation design. + Knowledge of substation protection schemes, relay applications, and control circuit design. + Ability to interpret detailed electrical drawings and technical documentation. + Familiarity with protective relays, SCADA systems, and substation automation concepts.
