Job Description

Lead telecommunications system design and coordination for complex multi-building projects using industry standards, structured cabling design, and engineering design tools. Job Requirements Two-year technical degree or four-year non-technical degree required Bachelor's degree preferred Minimum five (5) years of experience in telecommunications design and construction Knowledge of Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) standards Knowledge of BICSI telecommunications design practices Knowledge of NFPA 70 (National Electrical Code) electrical design requirements Experience leading telecommunications design teams Experience developing and editing design and construction specifications Experience with startup and commissioning of telecommunications systems Experience estimating and scheduling design efforts for large multi-building projects Experience designing structured cabling systems Proficiency using Bluebeam Proficiency using Navisworks Preferred Skills Professional Engineer (PE) license BICSI Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) certification BICSI Outside Plant (OSP) certification BICSI Registered Telecommunications Project Manager (RTPM) certification Working knowledge of Revit design software Experience designing telecommunications systems in semiconductor facilities Experience designing emergency responder radio systems and distributed antenna systems (DAS) Experience performing design quality assurance reviews for telecommunications systems Job Responsibilities Lead telecommunications system design for multi-building infrastructure projects Develop structured cabling system layouts and telecommunications infrastructure designs Apply TIA, BICSI, and NEC standards to telecommunications design documentation Review and edit telecommunications design and construction specifications Estimate and schedule telecommunications design efforts for complex projects Coordinate telecommunications design activities across multiple project phases Perform quality assurance reviews of telecommunications designs created by engineering teams Support startup and commissioning of telecommunications systems Develop telecommunications documentation using Bluebeam, Navisworks, and related design tools Coordinate telecommunications system integration with building infrastructure and electrical systems
