The role will help assure Tesla maintains compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations and track, record, and visualize Key Performance Indicator metrics. We are taking SCADA engineering to the next level, find applications for data and create Sustainable Solutions to accelerate the worlds transition to renewable energy. What You'll Do Lead the design, development, and maintenance of a scalable SCADA system to monitor, visualize, and record operational parameters and events required by environmental permits and internal policies/initiatives Design Ignition Perspective projects to automate and improve environmental operations from data collecting to visualization and report generation Partner with factory shop engineering teams and other disciplines to achieve SCADA integration to a standard platform Partner with environmental engineers and other stakeholders to transform requirements into automated data collection pipelines Work with MySQL databases and other data storage to create environmental metric reports and dashboards Evaluate cross-functional data related to waste, water, hazardous materials, energy, and emissions Create and troubleshoot Python scripts, SQL queries, OPC connection issues, network issues within Ignition and other platforms What You'll Bring Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation Engineering, Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience Experience developing a SCADA system for process data recording and visualization for internal customers Detail oriented and highly motivated to achieve and maintain code and documentation Ability to integrate and communicate effectively across many disciplines Advanced to expert knowledge in the following topics: Ignition (Inductive Automation) developmentwith Perspective module;PLC experience; Data visualization, analysis, and dashboard creation; Python; SQL; JSON Ignition Core/Gold Certification would be highly desirable Compensation and Benefits Benefits Along with competitive pay, as a full-time Tesla employee, you are eligible for the following benefits at day 1 of hire: Medical plans > plan options with $0 payroll deduction Family-building, fertility, adoption and surrogacy benefits Dental (including orthodontic coverage) and vision plans, both have options with a $0 paycheck contribution Company Paid (Health Savings Accounts) HSA Contribution when enrolled in the High-Deductible medical plan with HSA Healthcare and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) 401(k) with employer match, Employee Stock Purchase Plans, and other financial benefits Company paid Basic Life, AD&D Short-term and long-term disability insurance (90 day waiting period) Employee Assistance Program Sick and Vacation time (Flex time for salary positions, Accrued hours for Hourly positions), and Paid Holidays Back-up childcare and parenting support resources Voluntary benefits to include: critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident insurance, theft & legal services, and pet insurance Weight Loss and Tobacco Cessation Programs Tesla Babies program Commuter benefits Employee discounts and perks program Expected Compensation $100,000 - $228,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
