Job Description

About the Role As a Laser Systems Field Engineer, you will serve as the primary technical authority for high-precision industrial cutting equipment. You will leverage your expertise in electrical and mechanical systems to ensure peak machine performance, driving customer success through proactive maintenance and expert onsite problem-solving. Responsibilities Diagnose and resolve complex technical malfunctions on advanced laser cutting platforms to minimize downtime. Execute comprehensive mechanical and electrical overhauls, including system calibration and component replacement. Interpret intricate electrical schematics and wiring diagrams to facilitate precise equipment repairs. Provide expert technical guidance to clients, ensuring clear communication regarding repair status and operational outcomes. Maintain detailed service logs and technical documentation to track equipment health and resolution history. Manage onsite service tools and equipment to ensure operational readiness for all field assignments. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience in industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or field service environments. Proficiency with precision diagnostic tools including multimeters, calipers, and micrometers. Strong ability to navigate Windows-based service software and technical interfaces. Excellent verbal and written communication skills for professional client interaction. Valid driver's license and the ability to maintain a clean driving record. Ability to travel frequently to support regional and national customer sites. Preferred Skills Technical certification or degree in Mechatronics, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering. Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting high-voltage industrial electrical systems. Advanced ability to analyze and interpret complex machine manuals and technical documentation. Hands-on experience with CNC machine setup, hydraulics, and pneumatics. Familiarity with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) safety protocols and industrial best practices.
