Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, electronic engineering, or computer engineering. Five (5) or more years of engineering experience in power systems protection engineering. Project Technical Lead experience. Applied knowledge of Power Protection on: Overcurrent / Over-Undervoltage, Transformer Differential, Motor Protection, High and Low Impedance Busbar Differential, Generator Protection, MV transfer schemes and reverse interlocking schemes. Ability to read and fully understand DC and AC schematics, three- and one-line diagrams for Medium and/or High Voltage substations systems.
IEC61850
(MMS/GOOSE/SMV), DNP, Modbus, IEC60870-5-101/103/104, Profinet, Profibus, OPC, for power automation systems. Substation control and protection commissioning experience. Experience in Factory and Site testing of protection relays Ability and willingness to travel 50 to 70% depending on business need, project assignments and requirements. Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without sponsorship now or in the future.Preferred Qualifications:
Applied knowledge of Power Protection on: High Voltage Line Differential and Distance Protection, Generator Protection of large generating units Siprotec 4 and Siprotec 5 experience Communication Network Technologies, including Design, Configuration, and troubleshooting of ethernet switches for protection applications such asIEC-61850
Process Bus and GOOSE applications. Advanced Programming skills and experience with programming languages used in protection systems.About Siemens:
