Job Description
SCADA EngineerAbout the Role We're looking for a SCADA Engineer to own and enhance our remote monitoring and control platform that supports water treatment systems operating at industrial facilities nationwide. This role focuses on SCADA development, integration, and system optimization, not PLC programming. Responsibilities
+ Maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the existing SCADA system.
+ Design and implement new SCADA functionality and system enhancements.
+ Integrate new equipment and control skids into the platform.
+ Support communication between SCADA, databases, cloud services, and field devices.
+ Monitor system performance and drive reliability improvements.
+ Collaborate with Controls Engineering, IT, and database teams.
+ Document system changes and support long-term maintainability. Qualifications + 3+ years of SCADA engineering, development, or support experience.
+ Hands-on experience with SCADA platforms such as B&R Automation, Ignition, or similar.
+ Understanding of SCADA integration with databases and cloud-connected systems.
+ Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
+ Ability to work independently and take ownership of projects. Preferred
+ Water or wastewater treatment industry experience.
+ SCADA scripting or software development experience.
+ Familiarity with PLC-controlled systems (no PLC programming required). Work Environment
+ Primarily onsite, office-based position with minimal travel.
+ Collaborative team environment with Controls, IT, and database professionals.

Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $58.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
