We are seeking a highly motivated Systems Engineer to join our planning yard team within the Integrated Power Systems department. D446, Integrated Power Systems department is responsible for the systems integration of the electric drive propulsion for
COLUMBIA
Class. The planning yard team is responsible for supporting high voltage interfaces within IPS. This includes supporting reviews of design deliverables, developing procedures to support high voltage (HV) construction, providing training for the trades and deck plate support during HV evolutions.
Key responsibilities:
Supporting HV evolution preparation including but not limited to HV training, HV cable installation procedures, and design deliverable Deck plate support during HV evolutions Supporting IPS component teams and ensuring interface requirements are being met Changing course and reprioritizing tasks on short notice as needed for construction support Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure compliance with technical specifications and requirements
Qualifications Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering 1-4 years of post-graduate experience in engineering
Preferred:
Experience with Teamcenter and reviewing design disclosures Familiarity with the planning organization Experience with
Microsoft Project, JIRA, Confluence Skills Communication and Collaboration:
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams, collaborating with engineering, design, planning, MATLs, and operations.
Problem Solving Skills:
Ability to support analysis a complex system integrations problem in order to support continuation of construction
Technical Documentation:
Ability to translate technical information into clear, comprehensive documents for various stakeholders.
Customer-Focused Mindset:
Demonstrated ability to understand and respond to customer needs and provide tailored solutions that meet both technical and business objectives.
Detail Oriented:
