Designer with technical experience in?the design of HV?substations?for power utilities?and?for the interconnection of renewables and data centers. In this role?you?will?support the?delivery of?substation?detailed?design?projects?from the conceptual phase through design completion?for electric utilities,?contractors?and developers. You will be the technical interface with clients?and internal team members. This position can be worked out of our? New York, New Jersey, Washington DC, Boston or Chicago offices.

The Opportunity:

+ Perform?the engineering design, technical strategy, and delivery of HV?and EHV ?substation?projects?for power utilities and for the interconnection of renewables and data centers. + Prepare?substation?

P&C?design packages?including?single-line diagrams,?protection and control schematics, elementary and wiring diagrams, SCADA , communications,?control house?layout,?cable?schedules,?relay panel front and rear layout,?cable tray?layout?and?bills of materials?to quality,?time?and budget requirements. + Support in?substation studies and calculations?including?

AC auxiliary system sizing, battery sizing?and?voltage drop. + Provide construction support and inter-disciplinary coordination. IEEE / ANSI

standards. + Advanced understanding of design software such as: AutoCAD and MicroStation + Ability to work both independently and collaboratively, as needed, to achieve agreed goals and results. + Excellent communication skills - able to interact with clients, regulatory bodies, vendors, and internal stakeholders. Ability to?represent?the company credibly. + Ability to learn and effectively?utilize?new design?software programs. + Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Tools - MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook + The ability to prioritize work effectively, manage deadlines and organization skills?required?for our rapidly changing environment. This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level. Benefits are not included in the base salary. Please note hiring ranges for candidates performing work outside of New York will differ.
