Juno Beach, FL 33408 We are looking for a Power System Planning Engineer - Level 1 (Entry Level) on behalf of our client. This is a 1-year contract assignment. (W-2) You will support engineering activities for renewable and transmission projects within the Engineering and Construction department. The Entry-Level Power System Planning Engineer supports renewable energy and transmission projects by collecting engineering inputs, maintaining documentation, and tracking study progress with other teams and consultants. You will assist with modeling, technical studies, and compliance activities using industry-standard tools, ensuring accurate data and timely delivery that contribute directly to the success of solar, wind, battery, and transmission projects.Location:
Juno Beach, FL 33408 1-year contract assignment. (W-2)Key Responsibilities:
- Collect engineering drawings and technical datasheets from internal and external sources as inputs for modeling and studies, ensuring accuracy and completeness of information before use.
- Maintain organized records of drawings, specifications, and equipment data to support project documentation.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to technical discussions with guidance from senior engineers.
- Assist in preparing and reviewing basic power flow, voltage, and stability studies under supervision.
- Learn and apply industry-standard software tools such as PSS/E, PSCAD, Aspen, and PSLF.
- Support the creation and validation of models for solar, wind, and battery projects.
- Prepare draft reports, presentations, and communications for review by senior staff.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (required).
- Interest in power systems, renewable energy, and transmission planning.
