Job Description:
Apex Systems is looking to hire an ONSITE Vehicle Systems Integration Engineer for our client based out of Greenbsoro, NC. This assignment is anticipated to be a --6 month contract with strong potential for extension; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule.
Responsibilities:
Support development of electrical and electronic systems by assisting with the build and validation of test vehicles or equipment. Perform software and hardware updates for test platforms and prototypes. Conduct root-cause analysis for electrical and functional issues using structured diagnostic approaches. Perform measurements across electrical systems and collect data required for troubleshooting and validation. Collaborate with engineering teams to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues. Provide recommendations and feedback to improve system design, reliability, and performance. Document defects and create reports for issues identified during testing and validation activities. Support test activities required for validation, compliance, or operational approvals. Assist with implementation of design changes, including supporting training and knowledge-sharing activities. Maintain and update diagnostic databases and troubleshooting documentation. Identify opportunities to improve testing processes, build procedures, and root-cause analysis workflows.
Experience:
5+ years of experience in electrical/electronic systems testing, validation, or design within vehicle, equipment, or embedded systems environments. Strong knowledge of system diagnostics, including troubleshooting electrical and electronic components. Experience with communication protocols (e.g., CAN or similar) and related diagnostic/analysis tools. Familiarity with embedded system software tools and diagnostic environments. Hands-on experience working with sensors, wiring systems, and electrical hardware. Strong ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a technical environment. Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve moderately complex system issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Experience supporting system verification, validation, or integration activities. Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline (preferred but not required). Willingness to travel as needed to support testing or field activities. Experience working with modern sensor technologies and diagnostic tooling. Why Work for
