Job Description

Basic Purpose Provides a wide variety of distribution engineering services and technical support encompassing service reliability, voltage levels, area capacity, and problem solving in the service area. Essential Education, Skills, and Environment Education and Work Experience Bachelor's degree from an accredited school in engineering and 1-3 years of related experience. Specialized Knowledge and Skills Demonstrated knowledge of electrical engineering principles. Equipment and Applications PCs, word processing, spreadsheet and database software. Work Environment and Physical Demands General office environment. No special physical demands required.

AT A LOWER LEVEL DEPENDING ON QUALIFICATIONS OF CANDIDATES
•Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ensures the integrity and ability to serve through the application of engineering expertise in the design and maintenance of distribution facilities in accordance with corporate guidelines, industry standards, current construction codes, government and environmental regulations and customer service requirements. Provides engineering support for the Distribution Design process by reviewing and approving design drawings, providing technical design estimates and providing technical support for discovery process. Investigates and resolves customer's existing power quality problems including design and placement of customer equipment. Builds and maintains superior contractor and customer relations. Performs technical analyses and calculations to ensure distribution plans are technically feasible and consistent with corporate guidelines. Works with customers, professional engineers, equipment vendors, and others to explain the company's requirements as they pertain to distribution planning and resolution of resource requirement issues. Ensures all compliance aspects of position are known and followed; understands and complies with all policies, codes and regulations applicable to position and company. Performs related duties as assigned.
